So today I come home from school and start practicing piano. Afterwards I start messing around and playing stuff and all of the sudden I come up with this cool sounding line. So I'm like, "Eh, I'm gonna crudely record this so I can remember this idea." Yet, after I recorded it with my shitty laptop mic, I had the urge to continue this song and finish it. So I got out my good mic and set it up and start recording just off the top of my head. Finished the whole thing in about an hour and a half. It's all made up from my head right as I was playing it, so if you hear a few mistakes or a error in keeping time, you'll know why.

Also, I name stuff the first thing that comes to mind, so I looked out the window today and saw the trees moving in the breeze.

Anyways, here it is. Enjoy.

I enjoyed the somewhat chaotic nature of the right hand. I have a similar playing style and I completely respect and understand it. I think that improvised piano pieces are sometimes the most truthful and revealing arrangements that composers can create. It is nice to recognize a piece of my own personality in your playing. The piano and the style you recorded it with creates a unique sound. It is refreshing to hear a genuine piano that is full character. Great job!

This song is so sweet sounding. I adore the flow of it, as well as the whole tone of it. I truly do wish you'd go in and edit the song, to work out the few kinks, such as the occasional static parts. This piece would be truly magnificent (More so than now) if you did. And I would likely love you forever :) heheh

"The wind blows....."

date: July 21, 2008

I make it a policy of mine to write a review to whatever piece of music i listen to on here.not because i feel a responsibility to do so but because the person has taken the time to create such a piece and put it under the scrutiny of all who would listen.

You can tell that this was a spontanious piece, the feel of the overall piece is somewhat harmonic offset by the ruling of the mind.Your compositions have the same general influence as poetry and litrature they tell a story through anymeans they have at their desposal, the image i get from this is one of a leaf being uplifted by a slow gust of wind. The leaf then turns to observe the world below...While observing he has an epiphany of sorts(about at 1:30) the leaf realises that falling from the tree was not the end. That there is More out there all you have to do is look.

Anyway hoped you liked the mini story.
Awaiting your next piece
