A song I had formed for the animator of The Lost Gift (viewable at http://www.newgrounds.com /portal/view/434403), to let him decide if he wanted my help compose for the movie.

It seems to be well received, and I will be making more music for the project, hopefully I will be able to give them everything they want!

The song itself has a Japanese oriented vibe to it, played out strangely enough by native Turkish instruments, mixed with other Middle Eastern ones. The song is also by far one of my most nit picked one, paying attention to each note's volume, velocity, keyswitches, and anything else I could to make it sound more "real". I like to think the effort was worth it.

"a little story"

date: March 21, 2009

(start, 0:34)we join today at a small african village only known to the ones who live there. a small village plentiful in people and secrets only for one man to find out. yet there is no trace of such secrets.
(0:35, end) a young boy hears about these secrets. then is anxous to find them. with only a bow and a package full of arrows the boy rushes through the trees and huts without any falter. his friends tell him to stop yet he doesnt. for his only wish is to seek whatever may lay ahead. he finds a white light and reaches toward it. then vanished.

very insperational selcuk, i just might write an entire story in insperation of this single song

"Reminds me of PATAMON"

date: December 10, 2008

IT's masterfully crafted, but the starting rhythm reminds me of the song in PATAMON that is played when you obtain one of the four drums.

"Badass..."

date: November 20, 2008

I'm a total sucker for Eastern themed music so i automatically love this. It really reminds me of a song on Age of Empires 2. Awesome use of instruments in this, it's not overly complicated and as always the chanting vocals are fantastic. The only little complaint i have is that think the the drums are just a tad loud in the beginning. Once the shaker and the other elements come in every thing is peachy tho... so no complaints after that.

Awesome job man, i just wish it was longer... this has potential be one hell of an epic song.

Keep it up :)
