Oh yea, start grooving. Submission for Pico Punchout '08...yaaay!!!

I decided to do a little remix of my song Looming Abyss.
http://www.newgrounds.com /audio/listen/29133

Abyss was responsible for a mysterious wind that spread across the world, killing plant life in its wake. This phenomenon prompted numerous heroes and villains to band together and investigate. He's something akin to entropy incarnate, a fabled monstrosity that would bring the world back to primordial times, killing all life in the process. (0:00 - 0:41)

Abyss's true form is apparently that of a large glowing sphere that hovers around in the background. Abyss changes into three different forms when fighting. (0:42 - 0:55)

In the first stage of the battle the metal sphere surrounds itself with a giant suit of armor which is slow moving with powerful attacks. The fight takes place in a large temple like structure, presumably underground. (0:56 - 1:23)

After this form is defeated, the armor melts into the floor and the temple crumbles, leaving the fighters standing in a green pool of slime. The abyss sphere floats in the background as the second form reveals itself: A small green humanoid capable of creating paralyzing bubbles, shooting fire and energy beams, and sinking into the floor to avoid attacks. (1:24- 2:19)

After this form is destroyed, the green slime turns orange and a large demonic beast forms around the Abyss sphere. This third form attacks with powerful energy attacks and sheer brute strength. If this form is defeated the sphere apparently loses its power and the cave and island the monster inhabits begins to sink (2:20 - 3:30)

Haha, I found this on wikipedia when i was looking for an icon. Its about the character abyss from Marvel vs Capcom. I think it fits pretty well with the song though...i mean its got three movements.

Another Video Game remix that doesn't seem to do justice to the original, i'm sorry if you think i'm being to mean, but for a remix of a 6-bit song, i thinks there should at leat be SOMEthing that 6-bit in that.

I like how you seperated the track in different parts with the description. It was funny reading it and listening to the track at the same time. It created a good atmosphere.

The sound is very good and the mixing is done pretty well. But there's just something missing. Something that makes me wanna listen to this song again and again. A catchy main melody maybe, that varies a bit from part to part.

Okay, this isn't too bad I mean it is overall a pretty decent sounding track which is good, so nice work on that but I do think that it is a bit repetitive, such as the opening, the same sort of beat through most of that could be heard, maybe change it a little and build into the main part quicker. There isn't anything here that really stands out to me either, although it does sound good.

The length for this is good and much of the time seems to sound like it has been used well, but there are moments here where it does sound repetitive. I like the way you have ended this though, it does work very well, the second half to this in my view is much better than the first half.

"I really liked it."

It put me in a really good mood for some reason and I really enjoyed listening to it. I liked the entire thing. I almost put me in a trance and I let it play time after time again. Keep up the good work and good job.

The music throgh this sounds great-- although I didn't really see any difference between each verse you had, but with my opinion, the parts that were battle scenes, weren't powerful enough to be called battle scenes. It felt like the same thing most of the time. Good job, overall though. Keep it up.
