Sumo Wrestler Battle!
Reviews

Great
Great balance of the drums and the strings/flutes. Only thing is the ending is abrupt and its too short. Other than that excellent composition, grasshoppa.
I might have to fix that ending, admittingly that portion didnt have enough effort put into as it should have been. :P
Thanks for the review, master!

Another review
I like this song. It has sort of an East Asain feel to it. It also seems to give you a feeling of "versus" but not in a Epic Battle for Middle Earth. Really does give a sumo feeling. Now this (like all other things in life) could be improved on. One is the ending. I personally like loops better than endings because loops you could just listen forever and still have the same feeling through the whole song but with the ending it justs ends and with this one the ending is too sudden for its own good. I could see this ending being improved on by simply slowly transitioning. Remember, the tortise beats the hare (esspecailly when the hare falls on a rock and is hurt from going to fast and thus can not continue). The song in my opinion could be either made longer or loopified (not sure if that is real word). EIther one would be fine (there is never only one right option). I like how there are multipe instuments. I think that there is a "background melody" and a dynamic theme to follow. It keeps the feelling the same but still has the change that comes in all things. Well anyway short summary time! Good: feel, idea, use of knowledge of multiple instuments Needs improvment: transition, loopness, Well that is it from me today. I will give this a 9/10 (still trying to find the mightiest tree in the forest of S3C and better salmon). This has been nemrA and sorry for horrible spelling but the thing is i am not in 'General Spelling Nazi for the glorious furtharland' mood type and it is getting a tad bit late.
oooh nice review! sorry for the late response, I'm reading this review just now :)
You have quite the good ear :), this is indeed Asian oriented music, but specifically that of the East Asian region!
I'd have to quite agree with you on the looping issue sir. The last phase was just kind of inserted as a filler. This piece, like a lot of my tracks are posted almost done but not completely finished, and usually like in seamless ending. And I quite enjoy that analogy with the tortoise and hare ;)
Anyways, I really appreciate the well thought out review and criticisms! I remember seeing your name from reviews a while back so thanks for coming back to listen to more of my work. And you only spelled a couple words wrong lol, so no worries there, you get an A+ from me ;D
