Inspired by Nanlinr's videos on youtube, i hereby present Vertex Beta on piano!

Credits to Nanlinr for his amazing idea, which involves playing In The Groove and Stepmania songs on piano, and credits to Silvia for his amazing series.

Enjoy!

- DKL

PS: If you remove the third voice, it's totally playable on piano. Trust me, i know =)
I don't know if you can play it with the third voice too, probably not unless you've got 3 hands :)

Interesting idea. It has all the notes right only minus the synthesizer :P

"Best piano Ever?"

by: SAROTH
date: April 22, 2008

Was the actual Vertex Beta a Trance song like the Vex's? I'd love to hear the song that inspired the best audio series on NewGrounds, And I'm the first of the 10 you need for a fourth Vex. ~_^

Short moment of spinoff- Four of ZeRo-BaSs's songs in particular (Dragon Tail, Death Trigger, Heaven's Rave, and Angel of Destiny) Have awesome piano riffs in it; which is odd, you wouldn't expect to hear a piano in a trance/dance song. But ever since i've heard those, i've been somewhat of a sucker for any fast paced piano playing, and this, being the first song i've ever heard (At least on NG) That's entierly piano, is awesome. Plus... It had that kick-ass Vex melody in it. XD

Author's Response:

Thanks for the long review and the good comments. =D

The actual Vertex series were high volume-like 180-300bpm techno, making them sorta really fast.

Also, 2/10. :) I counted ShadowMan too. I'm just in doubt, considering if a fourth would be too much. Convince me, i sorta hope you do ;)

"OMG I HEARD VEX!!!"

date: April 18, 2008

I can hear the tune of vex in this song?
Will there actual be a fourth?!
Sounds good!!

Author's Response:

Nope, this is just a remake of Vertex Beta, true, it's where the Vex's where based from, but this isin't a fourth, sorry.....hmm.....if enough people really wants me to make a fourth.....i don't know, it will require a lot of convincing me. Though, if i log in some day and i've got more than 10 PM's it might be worth it ;)

"has a **strong** feeling"

date: April 18, 2008

It has a good overall feeling, but it needs enhancement. Add some strings, and, maybe even make a big orchestral hit out of it. :P

And why sheet music? a midi would do fine to learn it.
