There was no love for him.
And he constantly battled against emotions.
Happiness brought a drought of sadness.
Caught in the cycle of the plains.
How could someone loose themselves like that?
Degrade themselves like that?
How could you let someone else take your hand, as i would?
Touch your face, as i would.
Elaborate you, as i would.
Need you, as i did..

( This is a remix of old modal jazz pianist Bill Evans - a remix on his beautiful playing of "The Spartacus Love Theme". The theme is by far one of my favorite themes and or played songs. Bill Evans is one of my favorite pianists. I wish he was still around. I'd like to see what he'd say about something like this. I tried not to make the drums too wild and glitchy, more hip-hop almost. I wanted a nice sound to compliment his playing. His playing Is the lone piano ambiance at the start of the track, which continues on. The original sounds nothing like that. I've stretched and cut, and looped and threw on some heavy reverb that i feel is fitting. The second part comes in, and the piano picks up, almost at random. I sliced and processed bits and pieces from his track and arranged them. The glitched up piano that plays over the ambient Evans playing is my own piano. I hope you all enjoy this. )

This is... really nice :)
It's a beautiful piece, and it gives a really peaceful, laid-back piano and beat, and also some twisted dissoneration (I couldn't think of a better word... or the word I was thinking of :P)... It sounds like... I'm in a computer, and I'm a program. The computer has a major glitch... Or maybe I'm in some bizarre, warped dreamworld. Bits and pieces of the floor around me are what make up the roof. This is an elegant theme. Thank you, for your time, and for posting this :)

Thanks a lot for the review, man. It was a good read. Maybe you were looking for the word 'Dissonance'? I dunno. :P
I'm glad you like this piece, though. Seems like I made this ages ago. It's always been a favorite of mine. Can't believe it's last review was back in 2009. Haha. I'm glad you stumbled upon it and that it paints such a picture for you.

Really great remix....
I have not heard the original, but by the praise that you give it. I can tell that it is awesome. I really dont have any words to describe this song it is awesome. I have searching newgrounds for songs I could use in this game I am creating, and I was wondering if I could use this one? All credit would go to you of course.
Yeah man, that'd be really rad. Feel free to use it.

Great sounds.
Truly one of the tracks that deserve to be on the top. It creates a sentimental, yet laid back, relaxed feeling. The sounds are something that is new, kinda of chaotic, but just organized enough to where it gives a message, even without lyrics. Though maybe it would have sounded better with lyrics perhaps. Still a 10/10 and 5/5.
Thanks, daibutsu,
I'm glad you dig. Heh, lyrics? I don't have much of a voice. Or no anyone with much of one. Vocals would be fun to mess around with some time, though. I've done very minimal work with them. Glad you like this though, thanks for the thoughtful comment.

One of the best pieces i've heard on the portal.
This is really nice, i havn't heard the original but i still love this remix.
It's really nice to listen to and it's just always flowing, never an awkward moment in the music, really nice. I'm not sure whether to call it jazz or techno, either way it's still one of the best pieces i've heard on the portal.
Thanks a lot for your review man! That really means a lot that you think that! : D
You should hear the original, its really good. If your into model jazz and such. The original is just great. I actually have plan to either remake this, add more, or just do another remix of this song. Some time! : P
I also have another remix i did of a "horace silver' track. You might find that interesting : D
