My friends, this is an incomplete demo. Many of you will listen to the first 10 seconds and decide to give this a poor score. Just keep in mind, this song has a very long intro and is completely incomplete.

Strange, but Stylish

Well, this was definitely interesting.

I thought you did a great job composing the build-up. Yes, it was a bit long, but it helped usher in the myriad of strange riffs to come. Without the intro, this song would've felt even more erratic and outlandish. I was further impressed by the wide range of percussion throughout the piece. This, accompanied by the echoing synth, created the cool, jungle/ocean feel you were going for.

This was a great composition, man. Once you can see past the strangeness of it, you will come to admire its excellent workmanship.

Well i'm impressed on the attentiveness of your review. You managed to grasp the concept. As i said in the response before this, I wanted to create something that hasn't really been done yet if not before. Thus the drumline-ish feel to the song. I never have or will make to claim to awesomeness though, so if ever you can think of how this song can be better, please please let me know! I am a big noob when it comes to this and always looking to improve.

very nice to listen to.

Has that watery sound. I could hear this being played while someone talks about water creatures or something. It also has kinda hard style feeling to it. Its a rather nice beat. Great work!

I was totally going for that "hard hitting" style of it. How often to you hear techno songs that have a drumline feel to it? I was simply trying to do something that hasn't been heard before. If ever you have any suggestions on how this song or any of my others could be better, please by all means... let me know. I'm forever trying to improve.

That was something else...

Going into this song with the idea that everything is underwater really did a lot for how I perceived it. You work off of that feeling pretty well, too. My biggest beef with this song is the secondary bassline you have going that doubles as rhythm. It enters at about 23 seconds, and I think the detune (if that's what it is) is a bit too high. The panning delay you have on the main synth keeps teasing at a main melody, but never really gives it up. Give it some direction, and bring in those drums earlier. The kick needs to be more clean, though. I like the hit and run synth you drop around 1:30, but it needs to move, as well. Get some progression going, because this song sits at around one spot for the whole 2.5+ minutes, and it leaves me wanting me. An interesting listen, though, and definitely worth the time spent.

I totally agree with you. As mentioned, this is strictly a demo and i plan to make some pretty big changes. However, I made this song specifically like I did with the intent of giving the listener the feeling of suspense. as in.. "man, when is this song gonna hit?!"

With that being said, this is still a work in progress and I haven't gotten far enough into the song to actually produce the part where the song actually picks up.

I will definatly take your advice while making this song though.
