I didn't record this... though I probably could play something like this on a real drum kit, which was a consideration as I put the final touches on it. I wanted it to sound somewhat like a real musician was playing it... it sort of does.... sort of.

This is a short song I have had pieces of in the works for a while now and its almost complete, I need some advice on how to finnish it or make it sound better. Some comments on this would be really appreciated thanks guys.

not too bad

It sounds a little too electronic.

If you want to make it sound like a real drummer played it, put some volume difference in there. Instead of having the snare even in volume when you do little rolls, change the volume from lower to higher. Accent some notes.
Add flams (notes in low volume immediately followed by a note of high volume on the same instrument)

It sounds good, its just a little empty. Add some quick 16th/32nd notes between toms bass and snare, or to make it sound more musical, add some bass guitar over the bass drum.

I'm learning how to program drums like a real drumkit myself. I actually get behind my drumkit and play what i want to hear, then pay attention to how i hit everything. THen i adjust volume.
You'd be surprised at how much volume control could have a say in how real the sound is.
