Lyrics:
Straight from Texas, they're gunning for you
Don't need no hexes, don't need no tools
They got their music, they got their soul
They make the music that makes me go

Chorus:
Go Insane, Go Insane
Go
Go Insane, Go Insane

Out from the shadows here comes Mr. Hill
He lays the foundation, while Billy lays the fills
A spectacle of rock, a magnificent show
You know ZZ Top is enough to make me go

Chorus:
Go Insane, Go Insane
Go
Go Insane, Go Insane

ZZ Top is here
To rock
They won't ever, ever stop

When you face their beards
You'll be shocked
For the power is much to strong

"Oh the power
Which lies within' their beards
It is much, much to strong"

"Good song, but I'm growing less enthused by it."

I did really love this the first time I hear it, but having just heard it for the 3rd time (over the course of a week), I find myself growing weary of it.

The intro is great and I loved what sounded like a little bit of speedy improvised fingerwork.

Throughout the song, I felt the drums were a bit too repetitive.

The whole thing kinda seemed a bit flat after the 1 minute mark. If you'd had more energy in the drums and some more variations generally, I'd have probably preferred it.

The lyrics were kinda funny. I liked the use of stereo effects for the guitars.

It's a good song with some great elements, but I just felt the whole thing failed to live up to the promise held by the guitarwork in the intro.

"Great Tune"

I like this piece - the guitar is well played and the drums work alongside nicely. penning the lyrics on the comments is a nice touch, so you can have the users singing along with it. Certainly a candidate for a music video in this piece.

Could have done with a drum solo / bridge, but other than that there isn't really much else I can add.

"Excellent"

Brilliant song, maybe a little too metal like to be in general rock though. The guitar work was excellent, truely impressed. THe lyrics were good and your voice suited the song completely. I'd also like to praise the guitar work again, really really good. Great job

"Very Cool."

date: March 29, 2008

I like rock, i like rock alot. And this is the sorta song that makes me like rock more. Theres sweet guitar riffs at the start and i love the way it kicks into a solo right at the beginning of the song, i really wish more songs would do that. The singing is pretty cool, makes me think of a drunk guy with a cowboy hat and brown beard, has to be brown. The drums are cool but are overshadowed by the guitar a tad. It not repetative because of the guitar variation so thats very good. The lyrics were clear and cool too. Very good track dude.
Maybe work on a variated outro is all i can say. ^_^

"Pretty Nice"

date: March 29, 2008

Sounds like a pretty good song here, everything sounds pretty good and well played, the singing really fits with the whole music and adds something to it, though maybe the intro lasts for a while, it still seems to work pretty well as it's not too repetitive. The singing sounds to be pretty clear to me and everything, so that's very good to hear.

I can't hear any problems with the overall peice, it all seems to be put together very well which sounds very good. The ending is pretty nice too, so that's good, though maybe it could have done with a bit more singing or something, there are gaps with just instumental and a fair few amount of gaps to, but otherwise good work.

5/5
