This could fit in a Hercule Poirot episode but also reminds me of Jean-Paul Delmondo movies.

SolusLunes responds:

Never heard of either. :D

I am not a saxophonist, but

Your tone and breathing is so clear and cut. Easily the best part of the song. The X-Files-ish Pure Moods-ish pinched piano sound, however, kinda makes the song less enjoyable. Unlike the sax, the tone on that thing is just not pleasurable (all my opinion of course). I'm surprised you didnt throw in some arpeggios in there when the sax was accompanying. Nice touch with the Latin closing and castanets.

SolusLunes responds:

Yeah, the tone of the piano needs to be a bit less sour. Eh, I'll probably never change it.

The song's about the sax, anyways.

Quite nice.

I have a sister who plays the sax, and your song captured the spirit of that wonderous instrument very well. I'm thinking tenor sax from the fullness of the sound? Yeah, I hear where it might be a little out of tune, but as you said, the saxophone is never perfectly in tune. The best you can get is mostly in tune most of the tine, and even then it just adds character to it.

SolusLunes responds:

And that's one of the reasons the saxophone is one of the greatest instruments ever.

Quite truthfully awesome

I loved the mix of a latin feel with the down and gritty NY feel. Yes, they aren't styles, but I hear music as a picture, if that makes sense. :)

Collab, much?

SolusLunes responds:

Who cares if they're not styles? It's what it makes you think of. :D

Lol phat beat here Solus.

Yeah its Sasha or DJ Sash or whatever from msn lol. We havent talked in a while, but anyways, this is pretty funky lol, I like that piano solo-ness at around 2:20 real deep and trancey-sounding.

sax sounds fine to me, its a pretty ....dodgy instrument i'd suspect so off-tuneness could just be part of its nature.

lol, maraccas? nice :P

keep it up ya ho

SolusLunes responds:

You haven't seen anything yet for piano solos. Check out Disconnect the Dots. :D
