Played on guitar. A take of the classic "house of the rising sun" by the animals. Please review.
It does finish quite abruptly and im sorryfor that, I just want to get your opinions.

Thanks.

"slipping off beats & no changes."

by: Bezman
date: May 4, 2008

The notes are brilliantly played and I'm guessing it's 2 tracks?

It seems like it's constantly slipping off the beat though - you might want to make a practice of tapping your foot whilst playing - I know it certainly helps me stay in beat!

It is of course short and unoriginal. I guess you purposely didn't want to change much and were just doing a 'demo' to make it easier on yourself?

Still, it'd have been nice if you'd have added some 'twist' to this - when I hear a cover, it's always preferable to hear a new interpretation, rather than just a new performance of the same notation. With a cover like this, you'r just asking to be compared to the original and that's almost always going to be unfavourable.

Also, I don't really understand why you didn't finish it. Seems abrupt & makes it worse.

Keep at it though - you've got skills!

"Timing is everything"

by: Coop83

This isn't bad, but I would suggest one thing - get yourself a metronome. These timing devices are excellent, as they provide a ticking at a constant rate for you to keep your time to. What I'm trying to say is that you need to keep the tempo of this piece the same throughout.

I can recognise the tune, which is good. I appreciate the fact that this is your cover version of the song, so I woun't hold any modulation against you. Another thing I might suggest is trying to get the voice sampled onto the track. Help on this and more can be found in the Audio Forum on the NGBBS

"Not Bad"

date: May 3, 2008

This was pretty cool, nice little guitar track thing ya got going on here, it was played faily well but you may need to clean it up a bit. I havent heard the song its supposed to be covering so i dont know.
Theres not much to this really, needs more but as a simple guitar track its ok. Just work on it some more. And fix the ending :P

"Alright"

date: April 25, 2008

Well it seems to be played very well which is good to hear but as you said, it does end suddenly, which is kind of bad and the quality of the sound here seems to be a little poor from what I can hear. But the actual tune itself is played very well, so good work on that.

My main suggestion would be to make this longer and maybe get a better mic or something, because you can hear some feedback or something at the start and end of this, might want to fix that, but otherwise pretty good.
