"chilled & uplifting"

by: Bezman

That was amazing work.

I love the opening roll on the drums and though it became a bit robotic at points (sorta betraying the fact that it's electronic I guess) you've got a few variations that sound cool.

Guitar is awesome. Full of twists and really flowing,

Kinda uplifting too. Also, cool end.

Doubt I'll use this for my claymation - 2 instruments isn't quite enough - I'm still hoping to find something with more.

Where's the vocal version?

Great chillout track.

Author's Response:

The vocal version is "Don't Know Tomorrow".

Ya know, I never noticed how many twists I really threw in there before.. Thanks for that mention.

Four instruments. :[
Guitar, drum machine:P, bass and a keyboard.

Thanks for another awesome review!!

"I definitely heard some Pink Floyd in there"

by: jnry3

...and I personally find the title and comments in contrast to how I perceived the song. The distorted guitar riffs felt heavy, depressing. The thuds of the drums and the bass line also suggested a heavy theme. The keys/organ suggest hope, and it suggests that the persona sees a light out of the dark he is in.

But that's just me.

Here's a treat -- impromptu lyrics starting after the 1:05 drum break:

The streets are cold, I walk with the thoughts of
what I see for me ahead.
Tomorrow? I don't know.
Oh tomorrow, I don't know.
Today feels just like any day,
no different than yesterday
and tomorrow, I don't know...
but I know there's still a ray of light
to shine down on me.
You'll shine down on me.
(Ooh hoo woo hoo...)
(Oh... oh-oh-oh...)

And now the review:

Pros: Near-pro recording quality. Deep bluesy feel. Excellent jam session.
Cons: Meh... hmm... just the title I guess (and maybe it's just me).

Tell you what, I'll pick up a mic and try to do impromptu here. ;-) Pardon me in advance in case I suck. 5 and 10.

Author's Response:

Hmm, I can see where you're coming from with that. I agree with you on that one man, thanks for that.

The lyrics are nice, I'll see what I can do about adding to 'em and finishing 'em up. I like what you have though!

Just the title, well that's definitely inspiring man!

Thanks for the great scores and review!
