You're not familiar with Dad 'n Me? SHAME ON YOU! >: ( /portal/view/254456

Anyways, this is my entry for the Monthly Audio Contest 2008 - February-March Pillars of Pico theme!

As clearly stated, this is for the Dad 'n Me / Chainsaw the children category...Dad 'n Me how it should be! At least in my humble opinion! Basicly it's "one" song that consists out of two "Theme"-songs if you want to call it like that. One for Dad and one for Junior of course. Now let's see what we have here...

It's a regular day in town and Dad get's ready to bash some bastard children for the better. He starts his beloved chainsaw and blast off. Though, in his excitement, he leaves junior all alone at home. :( Now Dad on the other hand, swings and slices and surely has his fun till the police shows up. OH TEN NOEZ! :( At 1:03 it get's a little bit more serious and Dad has to show that he's a manly man. While dealing with the police...the scene suddenly changes to his home where junior searches for Dad. Instead of him, he finds his "birthday" chainsaw that Dad just bought the other day.

Junior, who is just a little rascal after all, instantly knows the drill and starts his early birthday present off. With a childish laughter that only our one and only junior can provide, he runs off to town...having fun of course! :D

Well, I hope you can imagen something out of it. I had my fun doing this, that's for sure! Hope you have fun listening to it as well. ;)

Great song!

Songs with chainsaws are always great, and this one here is no exception from this rule! ;)

I wish the chainsaw could be heard a bit more throughout the song, though. But the part at 1:50 makes up for that. Great laughing and good use of the chainsaw there.
Awesome song, man!

DarKsidE555 responds:

Hm, I thought it was better not to hear the chainsaw that much in the song. I guess more than 3 times wouldn't be a benefit for the song. Anyways, glad you enjoyed man! Thanks for da reviewz!

Pretty sweet, fucker.

OMG man, pretty tight like a virgin snatch. Kick sounds nice and punchy too. :D Teh part at 1:50...went all 80's hair metal style man. The leads in that section were very wicked.
All and all, I really enjoyed this tune. Some headbanging, chainsawing some kids...its all fucktastic!

DarKsidE555 responds:

Thanks ma man! Yeah, you're quite right with the 80's hair metal stuff. XD

I thought, hey...junior needs something innocent, something like...I <3 ya dad.

Anyways, cock on for the review bro! :D

Really good piece!

One think I do recomend is to have the solo/lead guitar louder than the rythhm guitar. Can barely hear it :/

Hope you do well in the comp xD

DarKsidE555 responds:

I guess it's the modulation that makes the solo/lead guitar sound muted compared to the rhythm guitar. It's loud enough though but the sound is rather soft. :/

Anyways, thanks for checking this and thanks for the review!
