"The Dark One" by Sekrut $quirrel (Track #01 from Sekrut $quirrel's self-titled album / Track #18 from the _Swingin' Muzak_ compilation)

"The Dark One is a touching melody about a particularly irritating modem geek with a twisted fetish for biscuits. We hope this metaphor is not lost on those of you with sparsely interconnected neurons (i.e. stupidheads)."

About _Sekrut $quirrel_:

These songs were recorded to cassette tape in 1992 and most of them appeared on _Swingin' Muzak_ (cDc communications 1993), a compilation of Lubbock bands. We have made every effort possible to capture all the tape hiss, dropouts, and other vintage artifacts of this third-generation analog cassette copy so you can enjoy the authentic Sekrut Squirrel sound you desire.

Released on cassette September 1992 by cDc communications, digital release March 2006

At the time of this recording, Sekrut Squirrel was:
Franken Gibe: Vocals and harmonica and more vocals
Transderm Nitro: Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Tom Drums, and Cymbals
Mister Happy: Guitar and Bass
Mohawk: Guitar, Bass, and ALL 3 seconds of piano

Additional Credits:
Grandmaster Ratte': recorded these and was the 5th member at shows
The cDc backup choir featuring: G. A. Ellsworth, Gibe, and G. Ratte'

About _Swingin' Muzak_:

"The only thing missing on the set of Alice is a dog," laughs Philip McKeon, who plays Tommy Hyatt on the top-rated series. "I'm such an animal lover, I always enjoy having a dog or a cat around." "But even though Alice is a "no pets allowed" set, Philip more than makes up for it when he goes home each night. "I've got a female German shepherd named George. She's gorgeous, about two-and-a-half years old with little ears that flap all over the place when she runs."

Released on cassette June 1993 by cDc communications, digital release January 2007

"Great!"

date: August 19, 2008

You kinda sound like what would happen if Black Flag collided with The Vandals in a massive train wreck of great music.

Its good that you have your own sound, which means that you didnt copy anyone. I also liked the blues scales in there.
