This song is chapter one of the Puppy Dog Tales. A collection of songs which will be put onto an EP a collection of sorts> The song itself led off a very basic pick, the G, C interchange that occurs right at the beginning and remains through out. Using my fx pedal I crafted some sounds around, The straight/reversed chordal guitar, a mini lead and a hammond style bass. The drums are from ezdrummer. There is a little harmony from myself, reversed and delayed.

I haven't really had a chance to make music for a while now, what with my new job and sorting out moving and my teaching lark, but when i have the time i will try to put more music up. Signs of the rust are evident in the mix on this song. A little dull in places. I believe it needs some brightening. Ah well. Please share your thoughts and opinions, constructive criticism is the order of the day.

wow

this is really stunning! i found this on the magic pen game... it was compelling enough for me to track it down and register on newgrounds. I would love to hear more of this. It reminds me of cure/explosions in the sky.

What I Did On My Summer Vacation

This song reminds me of the long journeys down to the coast my family would take every few years to visit friends and relatives. Not the destinations, the journeys, watching the trees and cars go by, the mirror reflection on the passing lakes, seen the climate slowly change. The heat the hot and the joy of stopping in a rest room. This song, is my summer vacation, thank you.

shieeeetttt

This reminded me of early New Order just after Ian killed himself.
Love this.
Keep this up. :D

pitbulljones responds:

thank you for the review. Yes it does have a new order vibe, it's in me genes being a mancunian and all. though it wasn't intentional at all, just that pick at the beginning and i work around that. You should watch control if you like new order and stuff, the actor who plays curtis is phenomenal.

Wicked!

Nice Job. The samples you used were outstanding. The drum loops reminded me of travis barkers work, the tremelo on the guitar was sweet, the reverse hits toward the end were awesome and finaly, it matched the said genre!
