This is one of my favorite themes from the Sonic series, so I just wanted to make a version of it myself. I tried to keep the same flow that the song originally has. I hope you like it!

Excellent piece of gaming music.
I'll admit I am not too much of a fan of trance because the world is plagued with it! However this piece is done extremely well. Reminds me of the mental exhaustion after being the game with all the emeralds collected. Well done, 10 stars for you sir. This tune should be recognized for staying true to original form but at the same time making something old,new again. Thank you!
That mental exhaustion...THAT MENTAL EXHAUSTION of those EMERALDS! Boy do I remember the time spent completing the game fully.
I will agree with you on the overpopulation of trance. At the time I was playing through my Sonic games, I suddenly got hit with a trance bug while I was listening to the ending of Sonic 3.
I got sick of trance when I was almost done with the song, so I toned a bit of it down to keep the sanity for when I had to balance it.
It kept the feeling true to the game so I was pleased with the end product.

Yes, Yes Indeed!
I thoroughly enjoy this. It's soothing and the melody and harmonies are subtle, giving a soothing appeal. The sounds all blend well together. This makes me imagine that I'm floating in a large body of water, then I begin to swim through it, before reaching the surface and speeding along the top of it. This earns a 10/10!

This has reminded me of the many summer nights spent playing this legend of a game, just to hear it one more time has opened my soul...
Oh, and I'm trying to root the game out a pile of Genesis games as we speak!
