My friend, she wasn't feeling well, for some reason I don't understand why, So I made her this song. Originally it didn't have the drums nor the bass line, but I thought the song sounded good and I like the strings, so I put those in, and I think they flow quite well with the song.

I do warn you though, the opening is LONG, once you get past that it sounds more like a song. This is mainly because this was a ambient song, I never intended it to be an actual song. Just a flute playing with storm behind it.

So if your reading this, please leave a review, even if its two lines, it would take like.....10 seconds, maybe less :P

Thanks,

Hope you enjoy this song

i love listening to thunder and rain anyway

Too stormy. ):)

I think, in the first minute where the woodwind kicks in, the storm and rain are too loud, but at the later minutes, they start fading out, especially the storm. The melody and instruments are well picked ('cause they sound natural).

I still wonder why you left the last minute mostly with pure thunderstorm and rain, though it sounds OK. =A=

The reason being for the storm was it was designed as a relaxing song for my friend.

Very cool

Yeah, I think the flute was a little overpowering also. And I love the distorted drums, and bass. You could bring the bass out a bit too.

I had a problem with the bass, If i made it louder it would clip with the thunder SFX, but if I turned those down it sounded ghey, at least I thought so. :P

oooooooo

I have that exact same sample, you aint been mooching the sound effects library have you? nice pizzicato with the delay, as the woodwind is too. Now when them drums kicked in ive noticed your bg is too forward. I can't make your bass clearly. Side chain it through your beat so it drops in level when it's in.

I have a track kinda similar to this, dark nite, from yonks ago. The use of rain and electro. A nice rap vocal, not gangsta rap but rap innit, floetry would be immense on this track. Your ending is too protracted mind, i was expecting a change or something. But yea, a nice experiement in soundscapes. another 8/10. get some vocals on it.

The bass was designed to sound friggen awesome played loud and on a big system. Most stereo systems can't replicate the deep hum that the bass line has, thus it looses a lot of power on small systems. Try it on a big system if you can, you can almost feel it moving you :D

I would put vocals in a lot more of my music.....if I had a vocalist :(

Rain and Speaches, best backgrounds for ambience

I have to know though, what's the relationship of this rain/thunder and the rain/thunder from During the Storm? is it the same audio, or was it obtained in the same way or something? It doesn't sound exactly the same...

Heh, you could probably do a whole album based around making it all over sounds of a storm that takes anywhere form 30 minutes to an hour.

all the ounds enter nicely. the strings, flute, and then the percussion. again, wonderful voices.

Rather amazing, this song would only be maybe a 6 or a 7 without the storm. but because of the storm, everything sounds better. I dunno.

I don't get why it's binary, other than it was made with a computer, but I know naming this can be annoying.

5/5

Anima-Theory responds:

I think the sample I used for "During the storm" was a different sample. I can't remember though.

The reason I called it binary rain, is because the wave form of the bass line reminded me of the binary pits on a CD :D
