Started this song on January 1-26 and i have so many projects right now, it's hard to finish even one song. I'm trying to make a really nice sounding song, and i think i'll be on to something but then realize that i'm not getting anywhere with it so i scrap it. ahh whatever.

I think this song it's pretty good, i dont think it's my best but it's a good try for my first progressive trance. I will have another song coming out very very soon, like, by Sunday possibly. Another unnamed song, it's cool it has a sidechained bass and the synth is a very deep sort of clubby synth.

Hmm i should probably be promoting this song in my news.... i just love this new commentary box...

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review! Yeah, i notice now that i had too many layers on top of my arp, that the song just sounded cluttered.. I was trying to listen to a lot of prog. Trance to base my song off of, so when i listen to a prog song, i see how they set it up, and what they used and stuff

The beginning was nice (the first 16 seconds or so), I gotta admit that... But I got kinda disapointed when the main melody was playing:S It's not because it's bad. That aint the problem at all actualy. What botheres me, is that the bass and the melody causes enormous disharmonies, when they play at the same time. I dont quite know how to explain it, but it's a thing you gotta learn how to handle...
Other then that, the sound quality was actualy quite good:)
I'm affraid I can only give you a 5/10 though.
You might be able to pull the grade up, if you come up with a better bassline though:)

"little busy."

It's a very nice song, but it definately could use some more variation... Don't get me wrong, but it could use more ups and downs" if you know what I mean.

Great song, but not perfect.

"Well made, but too busy."

You've fallen into a typical trap with Trance here, too many synth riffs on top of each other make it sound distorted, if you're trying to make Prog. Trance - use softer synths and lots of Cutoff points - make sure you are using the correct compressor/limiter too.
