I have song thats like this but yours is cooler
what pads did you use in the beginning? because i hear strings too

The pads are pretty basic, I don't know if you use Propellerheads Reason, if you do are all be made with one instance of the Malström and some reverb. Try using some of the synth wavetables (the Arpeggio, AmbientChord, AdditiveWave, Sweep and Vocoder categories are great for this) and assigning an LFO to the shift and motion controls
