[This is a DJ edit! So please bare with the long intro! (and outro)]

This is a remix of the track Dance of the Fairies from KLAX for the NES. I doubt many of you have played the game, let alone recognize the tune, but oh well! I think you will really appreciate this tune even more if you look up the original.

My philosophy when it comes to videogame remixes is that the new tune has to be instantly recognizable to those who have played the game, but yet acceptable by those who aren't impressed by the novelty of videogame remixes. It's a tough line to walk, but I think this one does it pretty well.

*update: re-uploaded file. it is now smaller but same quality*

it's got this authentic feel to it. Still maintains that neat futuristic vibe to it though. A very interesting meld of sounds and feelings. Fresh - that's for sure. very very different, in a very good way.

Ha! Go figure!

After I submitted this tune here I also sent it to Overclocked Remix, and they turned it down! Oh well. I have to admit it is a little midrange-y, so perhaps I'll update the tune in the near future.

Glad you liked it :)
