"Gorgeous!"
date: March 1, 2008
It's all well and good about the fact that this program works well for you. But I want to point out another key aspect that makes this piece so beautiful: the composer. I'm not sure if this was put together by playing around and trying things out, or if you had something in mind, but whichever, the result is simply splendid.
When the drums first came in it was nice and mellow, and worked well for the music, but as they hit harder, they stuck out more, but not so much that it detracted a lot.
The chord pattern is repetitive, but since you're still new to the program it seems, I can understand that there's reasons for this. Something about this song makes me want to write lyrics and sing to it. I think this would work well with a vocal line.

Author's Response:
thanks - that's very flattering. i do hope my next song sounds better than this one; I figure I still have a long way to go before feeling like I could match something many of my peers who have a career with this do on a daily basis.
i kind of project that in about 10 years or so - my game will be then up to par with the 'current' productions of the people that I look up to now (people like craig anderton...). Not to say that it would make me famous. Many people live in their shadows would could commandeer just as much respect...
I suppose to say that might seem a little presumptuous - but it works off the idea that with enough time, patience and work - any thought out goal can become realistic. For example - comparing say this piece to one that would have taken me the same amount of time 6 years ago there would be a tremendous difference in the quality of production (and for me - I could explain exactly why this is because I have been through the process of analyzing my songs over and over again and comparing what I could do better each time so that the natural progression of quality over time becomes very obvious...)
