Indian Funeral

Author Comments

There's a funeral for the Indian leader. The whole village mourns throughout the night.
What will they do without their leader?
But like always dawn finally arrives, and the sun rises.
It's a new day. Maybe things aren't that bad...

Made the melody a while ago while trying out some new plugins. This is the first song that I did that relies on the melody. So how you think I did? Also the melody in the end I might have heard somewhere cause it feels familiar but I don't know where it's from. And the beat there sounds like NWA I think, but I'm not sure... I didn't "steal" them intentionally though.
But still, enjoy!

This was cool

So this was notbad I thaught this was pretty cool infact it was a nifty piece there is a good mixture of stuff and I like the style and love the background sound and the tempo is notbad but could be smoother somewhat but overall a decent tune here keep it up

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
Some faster tempo would be cool

Nice

A smooth and balanced tune, the tempo isn't always perfect, but overall it sounds nice. Would fit in perfectly in a flash with a theme described in the song title, keep it going!

Wow, I check my songs and like half of em has a new review!
A good, straight to the core review of you. Yup I had some problems with the tempo and placing the beat, but thought it sounded good enough, so didn't bother changing it. =P
Thanx for reviewing!

Butterscocth yo!

I like the part near the end of it! The song feels like a lulaby to me...I need more sleep.^^

DrSalvadork responds:

Haha thanx!
I figured you'd be the next one to review.

quality

nice melody, lovley concept and not a fl dance/techno/rave/ turd! keep it up an ignore anyone who says otherwise!

DrSalvadork responds:

Wow omg, you really think it's good?
I started to think that I had failed completely.
I do like fl techno turds but don't care about the others you mentioned.
I'm feeling good now, thanx for reviewing!

Not sure what to think

This is a really intesting idea for a song, but there were many things that took away from it's quality. Firstly, let me compliment you on the authentic sounds of the instruments, well done.

A couple of things to note. The notes were generally flat, and some of them were just completly bad-sounding. It almost hurts to listen to the flute screech. Also, the flute in the beginning has an unbearable crunchy noise.

Later on in the song, you change the melody completly and throw in a modern beat. That distracted from the original intent of the song.

Sorry mate, but I think you would have been better off with just the second half of the song. I'd be interested to hear the second half developed a little more.

DrSalvadork responds:

Hmm... Making a song out of the second half, eh? Maybe I will at some point.
I also thought that the modern beat might ruin it, but it came as an impulse so I left it in cause it sounded fun.
I don't really know how to write melodies, I made this one with the keyboard and honestly thought it sounded fine, but I guess you hear it differently if you're experienced at music making.
If you're referring to the high pitch notes then I get what you mean but I wouldn't know how to make it better.
Also I thought I'd make a secondary melody that would play at the same time with the main one but didn't know how to do that.
As for the crunchiness of the flute I only used the presets and I pretty much think that's what an Indian flute sounds like.
But hey, thanks for an extremely helpful review! Have a good day.
