Hi again! This is Schala's Theme from Chrono Trigger...
I love that music! I think Yasunori Mitsuda Is awesome.

I just played it in piano and thought I would add some strings for the "emotional" effect =)

Please vote and review, hope you enjoy it!

"One problem"

date: April 5, 2009

There just seems to be a bit of scratching in the background its just annoying because it takes away from the song.

You have brought me back to the audio reviewing biz, and that is a feat. I used to be quite active, but I stopped due to the fact that there were so few artists that could write to my picky and unique taste. I used to only review songs that really stood out and looking back, those songs were dwarfed by your emergence.
Ok, on to the music. I love the beginning and the subtle darkness in the intro. It picked up beautifully, as it progresses, a sad lost theme can be heard, but it is powerful and it demands respect. As it fades, the song presents a theme that to me seems forgotten. So Schala is beautiful, dark, powerful, respectful, forgotten...
The only problem I had with this song is that the end kind of left me hanging. I don't think this song is yet complete.
Oh, and by the way, Chrono Trigger is my favorite game. I also write screen plays, and I am seriously considering writing one for CT. Epic? Ha. Yasunori Mitsuda's music is amazing, and you have transcribed it beautifully. I will soon review more of your songs. Thank you for this amazing piece.!

"Yay Schala! Yay piano!"

date: February 12, 2009

I loved Schala's theme from the game. And piano is my favorite instrument. So this was automatically awesome for me. Awesome job with the strings too, they go very well and definitely add the "emotional" effect you were going for. It also loops very well.

Wait, you "played" it in piano? Does that mean you played it yourself instead of sequencing it? Because if that's so, then it's very well played, bravo!

Author's Response:

Thanks for saying that =D hehe i tryed to sync so it could loop well... thanks for noticing!

Yep I played myself, hehe whats sequencing? lol :P is it making it play with a music program or something like that? :P

Hehe thanks my friend! for the wonderful comment.

"well..."

date: January 20, 2009

It's very well done, and I find I enjoyed this even though smooth classical style isn't really my cup of tea. I would really like to offer some sort of constructive criticism, but I'm not accustomed to this style of music so I can't say anything worthwhile. The song wasn't yours so I can't compliment you on that, and I honestly don't want to just give you a 10 because it's Chrono Trigger. It feels like you put effort into this, so I'll settle with an 8. Good song choice and instrumentation though.

It means so much knowing that you liked it even if it's not your style, thanks for the comment.
