An epic power metal-ish video game OST piece. Used a bunch of NES synth emulators from Tweakbench and a straight GM power kit with a degrade plugin to make it sound more old skool ;)

Guitars arranged and performed by my good friend Nick. He's a great chap, that one.

Great job!

What did you use for the guitar? Real samples? If so, amazing job.

Sounded great, the guitars could be a little more... Distorted I guess would be the right word. ( I just like that kinda distorted sound, just me )

What program did you use for the whole song?

FL Studio?

midimachine responds:

Yeah the guitar is a real recording. Not me playing though :(

I sequenced all the NES sounds and drums in FL Studio, yes.

Thanks for the kind words :)

I love the fusion of guitars and NES sounds. I use to do that myself :) it rocks!
Anyway, awesome tune, awesome guitars cool synths and great dums. Overall a perfect song!

Hehehe. Old school. Teh rock.

Of course, the sound quality isn't awesome- it wasn't meant to be. The song's perfect for that.

The guitar is skillfully played- your friend has solid guitar skills.

The repetitive 8-bitty sound in the background, while it fits, could deal with a tiny bit more variation.

Could be a bossbattle. No, I take it back. Totally would be a boss battle.

A bit of panning effects would be nice instead of having everything centered though.

My two cents, and thanks for the review you left me earlier. :D

The guitar is double-tracked and panned hard left and right, but I think you're correct in saying that the stereo imaging is a bit bland. Thank you :)
