Hello all!

This is the final and mastered version of Walking in Silence. I mastered everything, put in effects, changed volumes, etc. Should sound more professional now, since I put a lot of time into it.

So, first of all, this is the song based off of TranceMind, an NG user who recently gave up making music.
I would like to decicate this song to him.

When you are walking in silence, you know how it feels like when you listen to this. Try to visualize my scene here:

A nice, quiet scenic route. Could be a forest, or could be a field of grass. The wind is blowing at you. It's not too chilly but is cold enough to wear a jacket possibly.

Thanks for all the support!

thanks for the review. this is before I learned to actually "Master." I'm too lazy to fix it, since this song isn't near my best...ironically it made NG top tracks. lol

"I love criticising so here we go!!"

date: March 13, 2008

Bad Parts: I'm not sure where you got the guitar sounding instrument from but I'm sure it could sound better. With slightly less echo. Seriously sometimes, it can get annoying, when you try to hear the piano, and the other instruments. I get the feeling like it's getting in the way. At 4:27 that didn't seem like a pleasureable ending. There is either make the ending sounded as if you're trying to hard, but it wasn't that bad. Maybe your mind was clouded from working too hard in the beginning to the middle, but that ending was unnecessary, to me.

Good Parts: Don't get cocky, this is a great song overall. Just imagine me as the critic from American Idol. You had your good parts come mostly in the middle. And this gave me a feeling to chill. You're very creative throughout your song. You made me feel like I'm walking alone and then at 2:44, feel as if I was in deep thoughts during my journey. Then at 3:58, I'm walking alone with a purpose that I seem to have found. And I'm pretty sure you know the rest. Anyways, the ending didn't feel all too good but whatever, you did a good job. This music is for people who want to in a mellow state of mind.

Advice: Anyways, I don't know if you have heard of Nintechno "Memories", that's leaning towards my taste. Yet it's jumpy yet chill. Of course my taste probably isn't what everyone would want to hear so do what you do best and you'll succeed in you're own way. Also, I hope you change the way you stir my emotions at 2:44, I think next time do that a little earlier, and more often. It really makes the music interesting when you change instruments, add in more, fade out, fade in, crecendo, and alter the pitch, and other unique ways to change the song, I'm sure you'll be able to apply those techinques in other songs, good job though. it's very hard to get a 10/10 by me in music, movie, anime, book, and even food. I don't know if I rated a 10 on ANY music. Not even the best hit from Beatles, because the best songs I hear are remixes. Make a song better by adding or taking out. Music can be interpreted as a sword to me. Their is no such thing as the best sword in the world. It can always be improved, blessed, inscription, sharper, harder material by adding or mixing in. Like Excalibur, Masemune, and other historical swords. That was a work of art. I don't even think they are one of the best sword in the world but I'm sure there are better. I believe that the skies the limit. Just keep knocking on the doors you come across, and one of the infinite doors will lead you to somewhere. Well, I'm talking out of my ass again, well, it's best I leave the message here cause I'm too lazy to delete it and it's a waste. Anyways, goodluck.

Author's Response:

If somethinghad a remix to it, it means that the original sucked. That's how I feel about it anyways. Might as well call it a remake. This song, I'm not going to bother with. I've got a record label to keep up with and some more side projects that this song was just a "hey. i got a top song on NG....again." Honestly, if you thought that i would enjoy reading this, you are wrong. but, i have to say that you are way higher than the people who just leave reviews and say, "dude. you song sucked." and give me a 5 for it. And as for guitar sounds, I just used what I could, after all, it's just FL Studio.

also, I hate it when people tell me to listen to other people's songs on NG. Comparing them is not a good idea. That's like saying, listen to this song that is in a completely different genre than the one you just made. Wanna know this genre? Misc.

Why? Becuase it is not techno, but is not rock. So, it's more of a mixture of both.

and, I disagree with you. There is such a thing as the perfect song. But most artists don't believe in spending a long time on one song (i mean at least a few months). this one took me about a week and a half, overall. I tried making it alive, and make it as unfruity as I could.

Also, I don't like it when people tell me things that don't matter to me. Look at the date of this submitted song. Did you? Ok. Now, look at today's date. What's the difference? A month, of me working on better things. Just don't get too ant-sy, I may or may not submit it on NG.

Anyways, I hope this was a good response.
Derrick
