So, once again, my friend Kyle and I decided to take a stab at an old Jazz Standard. Never mind the fact that I sight-read this. We pulled it together, he was on Acoustic Guitar and I was on Electric bass, although we ended up getting a little bit of it through the mic he was recording his guitar with (I didn't realize it would pick that much up)

A little post production, but mostly a straight run through. He solos first, and I solo second.

Enjoy!

Soothing stuff.

I don't think I've ever heard a jazz song in the audio portal, so kudos for originality. It was pretty smooth, except for that one part around 2:09. You guys played well, and I liked it. It was a little simplistic, but I'll still give you a five :P

CyriltheWolf responds:

Thanks for the five! It is simplistic, but its also sight-read jamm! XD

I know that the bass solo part was pretty jarring, but I had to do it like that, other wise the solo wouldn't have really existed properly. :D But the way I have it now allows everyone to hear the bass clearly, with the guitar in the background.

Them jazz!

While jazz is mostly improvisation but with a structure (as I tend to say), I do like it sometimes when it has more structure then improvisation. The good thing is you can kind of cover up your fuck-ups by saying "OMG, I wanted to play that excactly that way". On the other hand, jazz isn't something everybody can listen too.

I still give my 5 because it's something rare on NG. Anyways...good job? I guess. XD

CyriltheWolf responds:

:D haha, you German crazy. Indeed there is a majority of Jazz that is as you say. This would be one of those improvs with structure. Where we go through a pre-set thing and then improv over that, and then play through the pre-written thing and end.

So... yeah. XD Thanks!
