That intro has so much potential! At the start I couldn't help but think, "oh man this is gonna be good" and waited with anticipation for the pause and then the break through with the heavy bass and perhaps more immersive melodies that should've happened somewhere in between the 30second and the 1minute mark, but it never came! :<

By constantly building on the initial melody instead of adding new ones to the mix, you made the song very repetitive. Keeping the initial one for your intro and then adding others for the main course of the track would make this song awesome. All in all, very nice for your first heavy metal song, and good luck on your future projects. :)
