...or just "Zero" as it's named in the original. Anyways, done and done and done! Finally! :D

After a damn long time in the works, this tune finally got it's third and last revival. I made my first cover of this in late 2005 when I just started with recording...to be honest, it sounded like crap. The second version was sligthly better but still not good enough for me. So in late 2007, over two years after the very first recording of this, I finally decided to make a third and last arrangement. Wanna compare this version to the old version? Yeah? Then have a big laugh...

With this piece I present a remix of this very memorable Theme of Zero, if not the best Theme of the hole X series for him. It's not just the original melody, nono, it's a story to be told. Imagen the two heroes facing each other in the battle that was meant to be from the start.

The fight begins with the original melody, which is going right under the skin of retro-lovers such as myself. ;) After 30 seconds of nostalgie the actual remix sets in. Both made their first strike and for a second, the toms take out a little bit of the climax before the fight continues. From 0:30 - 0:52 it's a random fight in the room, they both deal damage to each other before taking their stances again for a short moment at 0:53. After that, the fight continues in an even heavier and more heroic way. The chinas and cymbals crashing indicate each time they clash together. At 1:22 X is thinking about the fight and back when he and Zero became friends. Not wanting the fight but still knowing he has to do it, X deals some heavy damage to Zero from 1:33 - 1:45. The last segment of the song describes the final attack of X, which defeats Zero...

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed making it! Review and vote if you like what you've heard! \m/

Credits as well to my good man Xenogenocide who provided the original drum template for this. Thanks buddy! :)

Its pretty rocking.

But its also very loud and some of the guitars take away from some of the other things going on and thats not a good thing. I see where you were going with this and you accomplished that to an extent. This DOES sound good don't get me wrong. Its just a little loud is all. Thats really my ONLY complaint. So great work and keep it coming!

DarKsidE555 responds:

Very loud? Why don't you just turn the volume down? I guess that should solve your problem...Anyways, it's a mix after all. All the guitars aren't meant to shine equally. There has to be difference. I really don't see a problem with the volume, sry. Might be just a problem with my ears, who knows? ;P

Anyways, thanks for checking!

Sweet!

This is an awesome mix, this is the kinda music I like, plus Zero's theme was (and still is) one of my favourite Video Game songs, keep up the awesome work, dude! I'm not really into music intruments and all that, so this review isn't awesome, but hell I know a good song when I hear one!

DarKsidE555 responds:

Glad to read man. The review is more than awesome to me. What more can you want than a Zero fan loving this? Infact, it's all I can ask for. :)

Thanks for checking! :)

Mighty...

...though a bit too loud for my taste. This song starts of with a blast and moves on in that direction till it's end. I am not a fan of Megaman, but I can easily imagine this theme in a game like that - it meets it's purpose, and that is too bump up the adrenaline I believe. However, this is not something I'd like to listen to more than once, could be just me, but I find little variety and it just seems to go on and on, making it more suitable as a game music than a song on it's own.

DarKsidE555 responds:

Uhhm...ever thought of turning the volume down? That should help. All I can say is, read the description. It's all mentioned there why this song is what it is.

Thanks for checking it out though, even the fact that you're not really into this. Oh and btw...ambient varies less than metal, infact...it hardly varies much. You might consider this next time writing a review for a metal song or a song in general, just to let you know about that. ;)
