Author Comments

Firstly: I don't want to hear anything about how the song has been done a hundred times. It hasn't ever been done by me and hopefully never like this.

Secondly: Don't expect another shitty Tetris trance/dance mix. I wouldn't do that.

Thirdly: Enjoy it. Make your ears bleed with it.

I'm sick of it now, but I hope it can still be good to somebody.

This has been getting mediocre reviews. I like it... except for some parts, like around 1:30. But I bet you were just trying to add variety :D

Author's Response:

Yeah --- A lot of variety is needed for such a simple repeated melody such as the one in this song. Glad you liked it. Thanks for the review!

I agree that the main tetris melody could be better; but to me, this song does a lot of real cool stuff that the bike song doesn't.

I think I see what you're talking about. I assume you're referring to all the glitching going on. I only began experimenting with it a while after my Punch-Out! mix, but ever since, it's been a technique I commonly employ within my songs (mainly because it just sounds so cool).

"It wasn't good."

date: March 2, 2008

I really don't like bashing work too much, but I truly didn't enjoy this piece -- I thought that the main part of the song, the Tetris part, sounded far too synthesized even for a Tetris song, although I did find most of the transitions throughout the song enjoyable.

The main thing that needs to happen in a good Tetris re-make is that the main melody needs to be enjoyable to listen to -- but here, I sort of turned down the volume a bit so I could hear the other things going on in the background better... I shouldn't be doing that. It is unique though -- a point for that. :P

I understand (as you said) that this isn't exactly a favorite piece of yours -- I'll try to check out some of your better pieces sometime to balance it out.

G'luck! :D

I liked it :]
especially the transition at 0:55. Nicely done.

You should listen to my Punch-Out! [Bike Remix] if you enjoyed it. This song is basically an attempt to do the same thing with a different song (and I don't think it worked as well the second time round).
