This is one of my favorite songs that we play. Like before, I'm not entirely happy with the mastering, and our upcoming EP should sound much better, because we're going to focus on perfection this time around.

So here's 4AM. The full title is "It's 4 AM (Do You Know Where Your Children Are?)." Not as bad as it sounds. It's just about having fun and staying up late. We all do it.

So please enjoy, and reviews are welcome and encouraged!

Edit: If you want to vote zero, I'd appreciate a review letting me know why. We get plenty of good reviews, and that's great, but we want to improve, so don't be afraid to get ugly!

ello ello!

Frankly i'm loving the tune, it's great!

My only problem is, the sounds a bit..funk'd, and the singing is alright, but it's not the best it could be,like you say the ep should sound so much better, and I cant wait for it. Everything else is great, 8/10, 4/5.

This is ska? I thought it was like...you know tunes like "im the skatman." Cheers for the submission!

HyruleanHyroe responds:

It's not exactly Ska, but 'Ska' is a fairly loose term any more. It's gotten to the point where any band with horns and ska chords can call themselves Ska. We're working our way closer and closer to the original sound though, so I hope the EP doesn't disappoint!

ehhhhhh-ishhhh-blahhh
ya....
i just don't know
i can barely hear the lyrics...
ehhhhhhh..ya

HyruleanHyroe responds:

You sound quite...un-enthused.

I know it sounds like my scapegoat, but blame the mix. It wasn't done properly, and volume levels aren't where they should be. Apart from that, I'm glad you at least are indecisive instead of all-out hating it. :P

...

really good, im starting to like ska, this is awesome

HyruleanHyroe responds:

All Ska is awesome. It is the end all, be all of music. If you decide you want to hear some more, hit me up with a PM, I'll be sure to send you a nice long list of great (and universally underrated) Ska bands.

Lolz

It is pretty good

It sounds bad but professional. Like some pros who want to screw around.

Good luck getting out to the mass.

9/10
5/5

HyruleanHyroe responds:

Well, considering we're a bunch of amateurs who want to sound pro, I guess sounding like pros trying to screw around isn't too shabby. :P Thanks for the kind wishes, we're doing our best!

Reminds me of Cake

If you don't know, there was this band named Cake. And this reminds me because of the lively lyrics, the great drumming and gutairs (awesome base), and the trumpet. Trumpeteers arent the most common in bands. But Cake had a good one, and so do you guys.

I wished youd of posted the lyrics. I don't really like lyriced songs as much but i never let my personal likeness get in the way of actual judgement on music quality.

So not the best. But the playing was awesome and the lyrics entertained me.

All in all, 9/10, 5/5. Another bombing run of votes by FoxtrotZero

HyruleanHyroe responds:

Cake is awesome. I LOVE their cover of 'I Will Survive.' And I am very flattered that you think I'm good with the trumpet. I'm going to make sure the rest of the guys read your review, it's very encouraging. Thank you for being honest and courteous. Next time we write an instrumental, I'll be sure to post it for you. :)
