This is one of my favorite songs that we play. Like before, I'm not entirely happy with the mastering, and our upcoming EP should sound much better, because we're going to focus on perfection this time around.

So here's 4AM. The full title is "It's 4 AM (Do You Know Where Your Children Are?)." Not as bad as it sounds. It's just about having fun and staying up late. We all do it.

So please enjoy, and reviews are welcome and encouraged!

Edit: If you want to vote zero, I'd appreciate a review letting me know why. We get plenty of good reviews, and that's great, but we want to improve, so don't be afraid to get ugly!

Not very good

I give you a 1 for trying. But honestly, the vocals were terrible.
The beat itself was okay, but it needs some work.
This song could use a TON of work. I think if you remade it and submitted it with a better beat and\or singer it would get better ratings.

HyruleanHyroe responds:

I agree it needs work. I don't see why everyone is complaining about the beat, but okay. And singer, yes, yes. But 'honestly,' we had very fine ratings indeed until the wave of jealous NG users slamming us just for making the top 30. While we definitely don't appeal to everyone, we seem to appeal to enough people to be moderately successful.

Thank you for at least leaving an actual review. Sorry you didn't enjoy our sound more. :(

Hmmm

It started out pretty good. Like many others, the voice just ruined it for me.

HyruleanHyroe responds:

I'm sorry you don't like our singer. Many do tend to disagree with his voice. Check back once we get a new song up (I know I keep saying that), see if you think he's improved. I do!

Wow... Not that good. Doesn't deserve the top 5. Singings horrible. Just not very good.

HyruleanHyroe responds:

"The top scoring list is a joke. There seems to be absolutely no method for picking songs, as many songs with higher scores, higher votes, and higher listens go unrecognized on this list. This is the second time our song has made the list, the first time at #14, and we understand that it didn't deserve it either time. Please don't downvote for undeserved praise, something beyond our control. Give non-synthesized music a chance, listen to us and review us based on our ability, not on our luck of the draw."

You, sir, have contributed little to our quest for improvement. Fie on thee.

>_>

The singing is, indeed, quite out of tune. The beat itself isn't one of the best I've heard. Infact it matches a mediocre beat. Maybe I'm an ass, maybe I'm over criticizing, but I don't think this is a good song, even though I admire people putting vocals into their songs. I KNOW you can do way better, so cmon, DO better!

HyruleanHyroe responds:

You are most definitely not being an ass, your review is one of the VERY few intelligent and encouraging reviews we've received since making #3. Just one thing, I guess I don't know what you mean by 'it matches a mediocre beat.' Did you have a specific beat in mind?

Anywho, thank you for the positive criticism and the bolstering words, and rest assured that we're improving with every song we write.

Skank or die.

Singing :(

The singing is quite out of tune, and the percussion isn't on spot. This needs a little bit more work.

Sorry, but I don't think this deserves to be on the top 30 list. I think this could be quite good with some work on the singing and the drums.

Ok, since this is the number one comment we've received since making the list, I've got a copy&paste response for you all.

As for the rest of your review, I agree it needs more work. This is a relatively old recording. Give us another listen once we get a mastered song from our new album, E.R.E.P., uploaded!
