I made this in under 48 hours... Whenever I have an idea for a song, and it's a good idea, the end result appears quite quickly. This piece emphasizes much less on treble and more mid and especially bass, making it a blast to listen to through some good speakers.
This is the longest song I've submitted as of yet. It's just over 4 minutes, which is a very long time for me.
The entire lead-harmonics thing, in my opinion, just sounds dark. How strange that the equalizer work follows suit. (All thost treble cuts...)
As far as the structure of the song, I got the idea for its formatting from the TimeSplitters 2 track, Return To Planet X. Of course, the song itself is completely different, but the way different things are put together...

Impressive
Given the "under 48 hours" note, I'd say you did a wonderful job giving this piece a memorably haunting and tense personality. Dark, breathy, nicely paced--and the beat is well-placed and light enough to give the piece energy without ruining the illusion.
Giving a 9, however, because I think that while the above is true to me, I also think that there is something missing that makes it not quite perfect. Perhaps another layer of a unique melody to tie it all closer together? I'm sorry I have poor advice to give on that point.

I don't consider any of my work to be 100 percent finished. That would require its being perfect, which is pretty much intrinsically impossible. It does seem to have an empty spot in it... It seems to be a lack of treble. If you look at it with the Spectrum visualization, all the big bars are to the left, and the only time they appear in substance on the right is for the snare drum. There could be a higher-up instruments.
For the moment, I'm just going to keep going over it and looking for whatever it needs that I could use to top it off.

this works pretty well. Just gets me to imagin a dark castle with torn flags flowing in the wind. Its a great sound and would be great for any soundtrack game/flash/movie what ever.. Nice work!
