This is my very first piece of music. I just came up with a little tune, and composed the first music in my life. It's kinda repetitive but peaceful. Please enjoy and comment! :)

"Lovely!"

date: January 22, 2008

This is truly great work. It is indeed quite complex, and very well structured. Hold your head up high! This is quality work!

0:00 - 0:21:

I love the high (d?) with the Solo Violin. Within the first few measures, it reminded me much of the Main Theme from Schindler's List (Composed by John Williams), however I would like to suggest perhaps if your program or sequencer allows, to add more of a dampener to the Piano, and a bit smoother with the sustain.

I love the strings in this, quality stuff! I especially enjoy the dissonance with this, it gives it that raw emotion feeling.

The Piano transition from 0:19 - 0:22 was brilliant, very smooth!

0:21 - 0:40:

I'm not sure what that instrument is, but I'm guessing it's a Pizzicato Violin? Just in a really high octave, lol. If that is the case, then I would highly suggest some new Pizzicato VST or font. It works really, really well - (especially if you were to bring it down an octave), I see the effect you were going for, but I would like to suggest using perhaps that pizzicato Violin to duo with a Glockenspiel. Therein providing a much more rich and full sound to the counter melody.

I really enjoy the Piano here, lovely stuff it is. Good job!

0:41 - 1:01 (end):

I like the introduction of that synthy thingy (for lack of a better term), it adds to the first melody very nicely. I also like the choir I think I hear in the background, it's a great enforcer for the root of these chords. I especially enjoy the ending, though I think you should've used a Fermata with that last chord.

All in all sir, this is quality work. For a first submission, you ought to be very proud! It's a shame nobodies reviewed this, I'll be sure to pass on the word to fellow composers.

Again, great stuff, and I'm looking forward to hearing more from you! Feel free to PM me if you've got any questions.

Author's Response:

Thx a lot for the review! It's really encouraging! I will surely do more!
Well, for the "Schindler's List Main Theme" stuff, you bet it! I've been listening to that theme for quite a long time. That's the I/O of music ideas :)
For the second part, the high-pitch sound was intended for a crystal effect, but sadly it is distorted...
As this is my first piece, I'm still not very familiar at tweaking music on the software I'm currently using. I will ask you about that via PM.
