date: August 17, 2008

I really liked the beat of this song, reminded me of the old mgs training music, my favorite part of it was the begining, that little tone has stayed in my head for a long time. lol But anyway good job, please make more :D

"Peculiar..."

date: February 11, 2008

Wow, it is astonishing that this piece has such a horrible score. Now, certainly this does not deserve an extremely high score considering its excessive use of repetition, and lack of expressiveness and creativity, but the piece is still quite okay none-the-less.

Now, I believe most people give this score such a low score because it does not emulate the expectation of a Metal Gear Solid song, but what many people do not realize is that this piece is the song through your ears (though, I do believe it isn't to your absolute preference either).

For my grading, I would have to give it a tough grade of 2.25/5; though, I will it a 3/5 so it will balance the score somewhat. I give it this because it clearly lacks some of the detail that would initially be expected from any piece of work, but it isn't dead low because it could still be appreciated. I realize that many people do not see it in the same eyes as me, but I certainly do not see it in the same eyes as many others.

When I listen to the music, I try not to hear MGS because mostly, I cannot hear it at all; instead, I imagine a new terrain. I see one man/woman going against a corporation that he/she used to be in relation to. But now, he/she sees a new light, and now knows the evil that is this corporation. So, she/he must now stand against it. Now, my picture isn't perfect, because your song isn't, but this is some initial feeling I get from it.

Now, for your review, because I see it in a different way than the songs overall rank, I see it as a 6.85/10 (7/10). However, I do know this is much higher than the pieces overall rank, but I give this grade based on how I like/dislike this piece; my overall rank is based on what I believe this piece is worth. These two are completely different from each other (at least in my eyes). I very much appreciate the calm and tensing sense that is emitted, though it does lack much subtlety and many few more notes/chords could be added to exemplify what has been done so far.
