This is my newest, longest, and most complex song to date. It reminds me of some sort of journey, but a casual one, which strays away from the "epic journey" iconoclast we are so often presented with. Enjoy, Rate, and PLEASE COMMENT, especially if your giving me a low ranking I want to know how I can improve!

My two cents~

This song is good mood music. Now, I say that as both a compliment and a hint to improve, as I find most mood music to be excellent for being in the background, but usually not having any specific elements to rip your attention to whatever may be going on. The previous review touched on some major points, and the only one I might want to repeat is the level of the song. That is, it enters at one point, and stays there for the entirety of the song. The mood is constant, and that's all well and good, but a simple rise in key near the end would do lots for this piece to make it find a place to stay. Not all songs need climaxes, but concrete sections are always nice. Your piano work is very enjoyable, and I wish there was more of it, and clearer, as that is what my favorite part was. the marching drumline gives the song a feeling of purpose, very much capturing the journey idea. More chords! Explore that key some. As far as instrument variance, instead of doubling and such, which does work, branch out with perhaps some call and response, or more counter-melodies. I know what you mean when you say your songs build into nothing, I have the same problem. Mine tends to manifest in a different manner, but the idea is the same. Regardless, your music has a definite ambiance that I find relaxing. Do keep at it, and if you managed to read all the way to the end of this essay-like review, then... uh... cool. :D

Peace out,
-NB

Thanks alot for the in-depth review. I understand what your trying to say and will incorporate the neccesary changes. If I were to make the necessary changes, would it be worth re-posting?

Cute. :P

Despite the restrictions of some GB instruments, it sounds pretty good. The best word I can think of is "cute".

It's so terribly happy though. I'm not supposed to be capable of smiling. xD

The only problem I noticed was that there was a lack of variance. The key never changed, it was kind of the same thing for three minutes.

But yeah. just add a little more variation by transposing, inverting, and just developing the melody, and it'll grow a lot.

Thanks. I often find my music builds and builds... and builds... to what? That is a suprisingly hard cookie for me to crumble, but this was a fun "happy" piece. That was the mood I was going for. I'll think of your comments in my next song(s).
