Another (again) compsition done by me in Sibelius. This one is called 'To Battle!', and this is because of the steady marching beat througout the song. The string section at the beginning represents the sadness of the troops saying goodbye to their families and going off to war. This song is in the key of A, and had several different tempos, 80, 120 and 91 bpm. Please vote and review (I reply to all reviews, as always) and check out some of my other compositions! If you want any more info, then just PM me!

Enjoy!

"Cool."

This audio went through a couple of different emotions. The beginning sounds sort of sad or somber and then it picks up a little bit. On like some of your other audio submissions you finish strongly. Well I think I have reviewed all of your audio. If I have missed any just send me a PM or tell me here in the response and I will go review it. Good luck on future submissions.

"Good composition"

Very nice change of tempo and pace near the end (1 minute in). Overall, you have some nice melodies and ideas in this, even though it's pretty short. The most easily fixable thing would be to simply exaggerate the dynamics! Especially when the brass instruments first come in - it should be BIG and dramatic, but instead it sounds almost mellow. This might be the fault of whatever Sibelius uses to create its mp3s, though. Still, that's one thing that you should change if you can.

By the way, I would love it if you could review my piece "The Great Gallop" - it's a bit similar to your pieces, and its gotten little love since I released it. :)

Wow, thanks for your review!
I do find it hard to write long pieces as I just...run out of musical ideas and have nowhere to go but end the song!

You're right, I'm not completely happy with the brass entrance, but I'm on a tight schedule (2 new songs a DAY!!) and I did try and bring out the tubular bell on that beat.

No, the mp3's that come out at the end actually sound BETTER (to me) than they do in Sibelius.

I will check out your piece, and as you could probably see, I'm not Mr Popular either!

I really do appreciate people who review, and especially those that have lots of details and tips!

Thank!
