"Pretty sweet!"

date: October 19, 2008

This is pretty awesome. Could use a little variation thou. Like a short solo or something.
In my opinion this should've been a lot more "heavy". Some distortion on the guitar maybe. Or the bass, make it fatter. Maybe put some overdrive on it.
The drums, meh, they are too low. Turn up the 800KHz (low mid) frequence. :)

Anyways, 9/10. :)

Author's Response:

To be honest, I don't think the song is finished. I'm unhappy with the ending, and a few guitars. A lot of everything after 0:53 might change.

You're right about the drums, and in a WIP version, I have increased their volume and intensity.

I can't seem to figure out how to create a stronger/thicker bass. I've already tried several techniques, but they always make the song overpowering on the monitor. I'm trying NOT to do this, without lowering the volume of any of the lead guitars, which is where I'm stuck. =/

I agree that the song could use more variation. I have this problem in every song I make, as I never want to leave a successful tune. I'm working on it. :P

Probably an inside joke for anyone else reading this.

To my brother here, the song sounds like people are mining in a rhythmic pattern. :P

"nice use of guitars"

by: Bjra
date: June 1, 2008

the guitars added a sweet ambience throught this entire song. The intro is what really caught my attention though!

Author's Response:

It's usually the intro, or some section in the middle that are the best parts. I'm terrible at ending songs, because they're almost always temporary, so they're usually half-assed (excuse my language).

The ending section of the song is going to have a lot of work done to it. It sounds ok, but it loses something that is key in the rest of the song.

Thanks for the review!!

"Nice stuff :)!"

Pretty awesome stuff, but yeah, it's more industrial than rock :P.

Nice work on the riffs, and good choice of instruments :).

Keep it up Darth :D!

Author's Response:

I didn't think too many people in the industrial category would consider light industrial, bordering on rock, industrial, so I put it in the General Rock. That way it can be interpreted, until I get to work on this and put it in its genre, whichever it may turn out to be.

"Whoa!"

date: December 10, 2007

Maybe a little too much bass, but aside from that, it sounds interesting! It's industrial, rock maybe not SO much, but I can see why you'd say that. Even with the preset-ish Slayer guitar, it's pretty sweet! I like the asian-ish guitar :D

-Nice job!

Author's Response:

The bass is getting to be a pain to work with. I've tried everything, but I can't get the heavy sound I want, without lowering it on the monitor.

I couldn't decide what to put this in. It's not really finished, but it's a full length song with an ending. For now it goes in the General rock, since it's mostly lighter rock. After I expand more, I may make it more industrial, so that may change. ;)
