A remix of "The Beginning", which I wrote quite some time ago. The original song was never finished, and wasn't the best quality anyway, so I went ahead and rewrote it, keeping the guitar line and lyrics the same, but completely redoing the bass and drums. I plan on rerecording the original in the near future and maybe I'll put it online for comparison. I don't know, what do you guys think?

Vocals 7.5/10 :: They were okay, but I am not into the whole full on screaming thing. I enjoy a scream or two but otherwise you need to use a normal singing voice in my opinion. Still not horrible vocals.

Guitar and Bass 9/10 :: Probably the sickest part of the song. Fuckin' great riffs here and there. It might've been a bit repetitive but I still enjoyed it thoroughly.

Drums 10/10 :: As far as I could tell there was nothing wrong with them. They fit in well with the song and were pretty kick ass as it is.

Sound Effects 6/10 :: Sometimes I think you put in some effects that were pointless and made the song hard to listen to fully, but when they fit in well they were epic.

Overall this song is pretty bad ass and so I'll spare a 5/5 :)

Thanks ScreamCriminal! The sound effects are just different effects on my guitar pedal. I admit that I might have gone a little crazy with them. I also agree with the vocals. Thanks a lot for the honest review!

You know what? The vocal's just fine, it just doesn't go well with the song since I find it a bit shy. And maybe just a little low quality. But I did like it so I'll give you a 7 and a 4.

I was actually enjoying the song a lot until the screaming voice came in. It kind of ruined it for me.

love the beat the guitar is great, i love the synth? in the middle of the song.
Voice came out a little too abruptly for me.

Yep, the voice thing is what throws most people off. I think it kinda grows on you though. Are you talking about that instrument right after the chorus? It's not a synth, it's a wammy/wah effect I did with my guitar. Thanks for the review!
