I wouldn't really say it's tragic or romantic song just like that.
(If you can handle a bit of abstract imagination..)
Rather, it's like the music is relating a story of a 25 year old with ipod plugged in, going on in his somewhat uneventful day, a walk to the starbucks, and something curious happens. The world slows down around him, and he witnesses an old lady smashing a cup of coffee on the floor in slow-motion, a kid's colorful balloons accidentally released and flies up in slow-motion, an older man in slacks and cap cruises by in a bicycle.. and drops of water falls.
It rains.
The place is empty.
