"almost-loop Great for an underwater game..."
date: December 30, 2007
Wonderful piece. Lovely and relaxing.
The bg synths are what makes this - the slow chords (violin-sounding) when you start and the later one at 0:46 that just adds a tiny bit of variation.
The melody that starts at 1:26 makes for a lovely sound and I love the way it sorta dies away.
The main melody/beats do have a kinda underwater vibe, thanks to the way the notes are so legato and sound like there's a little bit of sustain.
My main criticism is that the whole thing seems a tiny bit too repetitive with not enough going on. I feel like the melody/beats could provide the basis for a lot more going on on top - just like you bring in the little tinkerbell melody at 1:26, you could bring in more goings on at other times maybe.
Regardless, this is something that sets a good benchmark for the Fruity Fish game.
Seems more ambient than R&B to me, but enh.
