This is my first attempt at remastering "All The Things You Said". As of now, the vocals still sound thin (cheap mic... *sigh*), and I'm still figuring out how to boost the low-end while maintaining a crisp sound.

Lyrics:

All The Things You Said
[07 November 2007]
[Words/Music: J. Reynoso]

Hey, I told you that we'd make it.
So many times we tried, we failed, but, hey, we're here.
Don't care whatever that they tried to say to us
coz, hey, we just had to make it.

'Coz they didn't have the guts to chase
all their fallen hopes and shattered dreams.
And now we're here, we proved 'em wrong
we're standing strong, right here, right now...

and they're playing our song
on the radio,
and I remember all the things you said to me
like we won't make it,
but we're still
right here.

Hey, I told you that we'd make it.
They told me a hundred times to just find someone else.
But they don't know that you're not worth givin' up,
so I just kept on going.

'Coz they think that I am just insane,
and they would say and say just anything
to keep me away from you,
but now they're through. I got you right now...

and they're playing our song
on the radio,
and I remember all the things you said to me
like we won't make it,
but we're still
right here.
Yeah, they're playing our song
on the radio!
And I'm here telling you to stay with me
from now 'til later
'coz I'll be
right here.

Hey, told you we can make it.
(Can you turn on the radio?)

They're playing our song
on the radio,
and I remember all the things you said to me
like we won't make it,
but we're still
right here.
Yeah, they're playing our song
on the radio!
And I'm here telling you to stay with me
from now 'til later
'coz I'll be
right here.

Seven years ago
from the time I wrote this song,
I never thought I'd be with a girl like
you, you, you, yeah!

Great, only thing in the song I can be negative on are the lyrics. But hey, it's fiction anyhow I guess. It's not occuring that often that you can actually "make it". Nice utopia though.

Well wtf, I don't like people like you, using your emmense talent to override all that I deem fit to make fun of T.T. It does sound crisper and I have to say that it is quite good...actually got a few of the people I know thinking that this is a professional artists song that they happened to miss on the radio a couple years back. Yes, that is how much this song sound professional...quite memorizing.

If I may...look below...

chronodestiny

check him out and be afraid...I swear the talent that comes around sometimes.

Pardon mentioning him in this review. I will say this though...I just love listening to this song over and over again...really don't care if people think me wierd...this is one for the ages T.T.

Oh great tears of swelling happiness engulf my barren flesh and bind my soul to the unforgiveable sin. So may the great-ones forgive my humanity and allow myself to wander the bland waste that is the world of our ancestors. So that I may forever walk in the darkness with music engulfing my very self until the end of time.....Pity in the reclusive death like state I would be in I would be unable to hit the repeat button XD.

^_^ Well, let's pick someone else, shall we?

Thanks for the heartwarming review! I still would redo this, though. Got a better mic for the vocals. Hopefully I'm done by May 2008.

Chronodestiny... good sound, good production. And yeah, he's bound to be great in the NGAP. There's still room for fine-tuning for his music, but he/she/it is awesome.

Glad you liked my music, and thanks again for the review! ^_^

"hey, me again"

date: December 26, 2007

everything is pretty much great. the vocals are a little better than what i remember it used to be. try recording it in a bathroom, that might help. the vocals just dont match the rest of the song. its like the instruments are close and their sound bounces off a distant wall when the vocals are in a tight confined space which the instruments are sitting on top of. ...better though. i wouldn't bother to redo this again, just try making the vocals better in yur other songs.

5/5

Author's Response:

Hey thanks for your review! I really needed that!

Hmm... a bathroom? Maybe a reverb effect will simulate that.

I'm trying to interpret 4th sentence of your review... and I think the "distant wall" is the delay effect for the synth guitars. I'll keep that in mind.

Hehe... too late. I'm redoing the vocal tracks on the song after getting a new mic.

Again, many, many thanks for your review! ^_^
