Lady in the Snow...why are you crying?

Beautiful and fantastic
I've had this song in my library for a very long time. And I know this review is coming in quite a few years since its posting, but I just had to leave my thoughts here.
Lady in the Snow deeply reminds me of the work of Danny Elfman and Russel Shaw - my two favourite composers. To me, this song has hints of Shaw's style, best seen in the theme for 'Oakvale' from Fable (my very favourite song from him), and from Elfman, it sounds faintly like his work in The Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands. I don't want to do the whole 'comparing artists to other artists' thing, but it's just my way of explaining WHY it is I like this song: It reminds me of my two favourite composers, and specifically my personal favourite examples of their work.
However, I don't exactly see or imagine a sad lady when I hear this, so much as I see this song being more of an ambiance piece (obviously due to the similarities I hear in it with 'Oakvale') for some location. When I listen to this song, I tend to imagine some old, ancient building - an abbey, maybe - sitting atop of a snow capped hill or mountain with this unsung history. And for me, this song seems to speak about that abbey, how it was once important and busy, but now nothing but a ruin, left unkempt in the snow. And I just -really- adore it.
Gah. I like it enough to want to post a paragraph(s) of my thoughts on it around four years after it's been released. xD

Peaceful, Tranquil, and soothing
it reminds me of a girl who is crying in the snow because her love died in battle and she must journey towards the infinite or eternity or the eternal light/sea (aaaaah it so hard to choose the setting, it's that soothing!!)
anyways I had to make this as one of my favorites
Awesome, thanks for sharing. And, thanks for the review :)

Beautiful
An emotional powerhouse of a song. This is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard on NG. The instruments all on their own create both rythm and emotion. Excellent work !
Thanks, this is one of my favorites.
