"interesting..."

by: Mizox

nice tune, doesn't really remind me of the "curtains of fire" of which I have heard (and always wanted to see) but good all the same, and to be frank I can't really think of any song which would suggest such things to the mind, so this is about as good as it gets, nice song, I like the relaxing trance feel to it

Author's Response:

Cool, thanks.

I'm actually thinking of remaking this song and trying to make it sound "less VG", and I want to make it less repetitive, but keep it trance-ey, you know?

Cheers for stopping by and reviewing, Mizox.

"simple"

date: November 15, 2007

very simple, felt like i was playing mario again...not that thats a bad thing in any way shape or form. im inclined to agree with sbb on just about all of his points. lovely melody, has a good feel, its just missing that extra almost unpredictable aspect that makes u feel like u "found" something in the music. idk any technical terms or anything about making music like this, but u need something to change it up a little.

good luck

Author's Response:

Yeah, I tend to be drawn to the synth instruments with the videogame feel about them, and this song could do with a bit of a stronger bassline.

"yay"

Bit crappish mastering, some distortion thrown all over the place, that stuff... 'cept for that it's all pretty good- you got great melodies (though very basic synths to use the melodies with, maybe you should like, spice things up a little with filters, effects, such thing, make it sound more original ya know). Pretty good stuff

November 4, 2007

Author's Response:

Yeah, I'm getting better with the melodies and stuff, but, mastering... I don't have a clue about. I didn't really add effects to this, although I've been fiddling around with them here and there, trial and error (that's how I do almost all my stuff =P).
Thanks for the review.
