Night is falling on a peaceful rainforest. The chiefs plan for a festival. The festival of life.

An amazing work of art right here man.

"well done"

date: April 30, 2008

i think this particular chord progression tends to get used A LOT when trying to evoke emotional imagery - and for good reason. It makes layering harmonically interesting instruments very easy to do as it tends to allow sustained notes landing on places in the scale to be held that you normally wouldn't be able to pull off with a different set of chords.

The 'drums' were a nice touch. Timbali? I can never remember the names of all the flippin percussion pieces that are available to ones arsenal now that using foreign instruments sets has become so popular.

Author's Response:

Exactly. Somthing about these chords strike the heart in a certain way. You got the drums right on the money.

Can't wait til I get around to actually workin on this again.

"Feels like a savanna out here."

Damn it's hot...

This song makes me feel like I'm trekking across a rather large desert or savanna. Devoid of everything but hope. I keep walking, but to no avail, it never ends. That's how this song makes me feel, and if it's enough to evoke such emotion, then you absolutely deserve the score I gave you.

"Cizilization IV"

date: April 28, 2008

This sounds just like some of the music from CivIV! Some of my favorite music!

I loved the ambiance of this song. I'm going to try to get my music to sound more like this! Thanks for the inspiration. ^^

"Lion King came to mind?"

I love the drum you used for this. Doesn't feel synthetic...what is that a Tabla? Very awesome song. Calm and relaxing. The effects in the background really set a powerful mood to the drums. I like it. Very inspiring.
