I'll keep it short, since you've probably improved your musical abilities in the last 4 years.
First, hopefully you've found some way to record a live guitar or found a more convincing VST plugin.
Second, Hopefully you've gotten better a variation, which is very lacking in this track. However, I must say that I enjoy the chord progression. It's one that I don't hear every day.
Sadly I still can't record my guitar, but this simply hasn't been very high on my priority list in the past few years.
Yes, the song is very repetitive, but as I've said before, back then we needed something VERY simple, so we could practice how to play together as a band.

i dunno.. was part of this done in fl studio?? either way, this song might become somewhat tolerable if:
a) you used real instruments, it sounds digital as fuck
b) you are in Em or D im guessing?, use some harmonic minors maybe?

It was done with a program called "Guitar Pro" (as stated in the comments). By the time I did this it was only able to use MIDI files to play back what you entered in it.
Also:
a) Yeah, see above. I still need to find a way to record my guitar.
b) Haha, I know absolutely nothing about musical theory, I just play what sounds good to me, I don't pay attention in what key I am playing, but I guess Em is right. ^^
But as I've stated in another response, we just needed something simple for our band to practise the "playing together as a band", so there are no fancy parts in this song, it's just very straightforward.

If it were real life I'm sure it could be really good. Then I would rate like 8 or so. Sounds like it could work in "Well of Souls" though. If you could ever get better software or record on a real guitar (could sound better too recording 1 part to perfection and putting them together) or so, I'm sure this would get higher on score. Not good and not bad... in the middle.... 1 point above middle to be exact. I give a 6/10, 3/5, and a B+ for effort.
Yes, I either buy a cable to connect my amp directly to the PC or I will try to find a setup that works with the (really shitty) mic I have.
Either way, I plan to record this with a real guitar at some point in the future. Thanks for the review!

doesnt sound too woeful but if you recorded some actual instruments it might actually sound good but the sound quality is horrible hence the lowish marks

simple dude all you need is an audio cable with two 1/8 ends and a 1/4 inch jack.. you should get them in any pc or music store :D then just get something like cubase to record it simplez :D
Yeah, I was thinking of getting one of those cables. Or maybe I'll try to set up the mic I have to record the guitar. But I guess the song would sound even more horrible than it sounds now.

I played Doom (I'm nearly 30, so yeah... I was still young when it came out :P ) but it makes me sick. Literally. Motion sick. :(
