The description for this is very relatable, sometimes "friends" become acquaintances. The odd facial scaring and how that alone is colored, the pink looks very much like scarred flesh.

I was drawing something and I came up with this idea.
Sometimes you like people at first you see them, but how more and more you know them how less apealling they are to you to be around with. It also can be seen that they are not honest around you and you feel like you don't belong in their group as friend anymore.
I hope it was cool to see this piece!
