Hersa

Corruption of Hersa

Hersa is a young woman, fueled by the world and it's wonderful beauty. Her heart cracks through her flesh with desire and yet fear as she is faced with how she came to be. As she grows and grows, it is an endless spiral forced by time in the canvas of harmony, but yet despair. Two dark entities rest on her shoulders--perhaps her consciousness? An endless cycle that began with life and death, death and rebirth--instinct through creation so that it could survive, yet through the foresight of thought is in turn the ultimate corruption.

This is a freaking amazing picture! I also love how you made a good description of it. It's the kind of thing that would make a great movie! I just love the image of the two ravens. If not for the description, I would have thought it was about science vs. religion. The left orb is a cross and the other orb is an atom.

Hersa, in my mind, would be a girl who was conflicted between the two ideas. She couldn't have both. The description you do have is still great. I just love the swirling background. I just now noticed the red breaking out of her chest. I can't stop telling you how much I love these visuals!

Thank you! I was feeling a lot while painting this and I always enjoy hearing this type of feedback from my viewers. I have this one printed in a 18x24 above my desktop right now. :)
