i havent posted anything in 2 weeks , 2 main reasons : World of warcraft, and this pic!
this is a 40 hour work , i gave it all i got, the lineart itself took like 25 hours, splited on a few days
for the colors, there are 3 layers of shades and 1 higlights, and a little background, im bad at drawing bg's but this one wasnt too bad in the end, im still bad at clouds but its less worst than onther pics i made, i guess im improving on that part...
the character itself is from my comic, a very talented swordman, whos hobbies is to slics whole regiments with his darksteel zweihander.
hes on the enemy side of the other swordgirl i drew ( see :war and beauty)
this is the first pic where i combine 2 shades + highlights and gradient shades ( and a background)
Simply amazing.
The resolution on the blade is magnificent. The coloring of the sky gives the war torn feel and the knight himself is awesomeness beyond awesome.

Awesome!!!! Kind of reminds me of Sephiroth, only less ridiculously lame and way cooler. Really good, and the character's grip kind of gives you the impression that he isn't really trying, but doesn't have to because he is that awesome. Freaking SWEET!!!! 5 stars, 10/10.

i took from sephiroth only the look, black trenchcoat with silver hairs, as for a more appropriate description, hes some german swordmaster, if you watched '' kingdom of heaven'' 9 its some hollywood movie) hes using the medieval combat stance know as "la positionne di la falcone" a high frontal attack stance
if you like medieval combat, watch videos on youtube about some sportive organisation called AMEK ( kinda stand for association of europeean mediaval combat, its written in german )n you will see a couple of nice short fight clips showing a lot of nice stances and poses wich i inspire myself with...
as for the grip, real swordsmans actually grip theirsword by leaving 2 fingers loose on each hands, it help absorbing the shock and control of the blade, even Myamoto musashi himself described this form of handgrip in some of his writings.

Dude!! This shit is hot!! Good line work, nice shading and coloring and man, you're clouds always looking fucking awesome. Very nice background. An epic win for sure my boy! Did you use Manga Studio or Photoshop to color this? Anyway, way to fuck up other no talent hacks on here. Nice job.

and i suck at drawing clouds....
and manga studion is broken, untill i get a better comp whos unnafected by the god%?&%&*%? autosave function who cause my stuff to be messed up and freeze every 5 minutes...cant use it
also manga studio dosent do colors...well it does but its so-so
