Have you tried to get a shiny pokemon by chaining each one, and at the end another pokemon brakes the chain and you didnt get your desired shiny pokemon? Well this has happpen to me many times, all that time wasted and also those max repels...
for me Nosepass is the most hardest shiny pokemon to get. Why? In pokemon Platinum , he has a chance of appearing of 5%!!! He can only be got shiney in the middle top of Mt. Coronet, where you can make the chaining, Ubfortunately is deeped by Fog and Its hailing, which means you cant do the chaining Easily.
Its really sucks, I want to buy an Action Replay X(

I'm trying to chain to get a shiny Horsea ... or was it Krabby? Anyway, it's taking me forever to succeed I'm actually still attempting it. Good luck on catching the shiny Nosepass. Also, are you going to evolve into a Probopass If you catch it?
