Because sometimes a DDR song results in me going batshit crazy and cranking out something like this over the span of, Iunno, my entire day. The fact no long version exists that I can find also means I've been listening to the same 90 seconds on repeat for most of it: http://www.youtube.com/wa tch?v=WK4e0A3ZHAI&feature =related
Rhythma, Choir, and of course Boogie. c: Boogie's graveyard was one of the very first Rhythma sketches, but I rarely hear a song that suits it well. I stumbled upon Magic Parade during a DDR session, which made it's ambience quite clear as the game had skeletons bobbing about in the background, to which I went "WELL FINE THEN" and did this over the next... all day. From the original sketch, about all that's in the scene here is the Beat Mystic and his little pot with a ghostly thing in it, and some spirits following the Negatik reaper I put in for chortles. The giant tombstones and dead trees were from my mental concept of what the running stage of the area would be like, and I think I got that at least fairly well translated from me strange little mind.
Also, it's nice to have a setting creepy enough that people might not think Choir's the scariest thing in it. Poor girl.
While it continues to be color and style experiments, Rhythma at least has an image of her world out now with her in it that I didn't give up on five seconds into coloring thinking "NOPE NOT WHAT I HAD IN MIND AT ALL!" Actually, save the need to blue things up a bit when I was done, this came out pretty close to what I had in mind, or at least as close as I'll willingly expect working with Manga Studio. (My Painter setup is still in shambles! I have yet to adjust it to the new lappy, and fear the low res may be too much for the poor thing atm.)
